The best time to visit the Andamans depends on the kind of traveller you are…because each season brings its own rhythm, colours, and experiences to the islands.

From October to March, the Andamans enjoy clear skies, pleasant weather, and calm seas. This is the most popular time to visit, perfect for long beach days, island hopping, snorkelling, and water activities.

February and March are particularly special for divers, with excellent visibility and vibrant coral reefs offering some of the best underwater experiences of the year.

The summer months of April and early May are warmer and quieter, making them ideal for travellers who prefer fewer crowds and unhurried days by the sea. Early mornings and evenings are especially beautiful during this time, with golden light and calm shorelines.

Then comes the monsoon season, from May to September, a time often misunderstood, yet deeply magical. The rains transform the islands into lush, green landscapes, with forests, mangroves, and wildlife thriving.

For those who love the sound of rain, misty views, and immersive nature experiences, this season offers a slower, more intimate way to explore the Andamans. Birdlife flourishes, unique flora comes alive, and despite the rains, diving continues, offering a quieter and more serene experience beneath the waves.

There is no single best time to visit the Andamans, only the best time for you. Whether it’s sunlit beaches, thriving marine life, or rain-washed forests, the islands reveal their beauty in every season, inviting travellers to connect with nature in their own way.
